Mini Haul from Laline

Riding on the gift card given to me during Laline new storing opening at Bugis Junction, I went ahead and bought 3 products. Why three you might ask, well that is due to the buy two get one free promotion going on at the same time... Need me to say more? So here's the loot! From left: Body scrub in ocean, Happy feet cream, Whipped body soap The body scrub: It comes in a nice transparent plastic tub with a screw on top. The tub is nicely sealed to ensure freshness until you use it. Tub with inner seal The scent that I chose is Ocean, a very refreshing light smell. Enriched with Dead Sea minerals, grape seed oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E, this luxurious peel cleanses the skin, removing dead skin cells and stimulating cell renewal. Your skin is left feeling moisturized and soft, with a delicate perfume smell. Although I still have lots of bodyshop body scrub to finish, I just can't resist the pretty blue crystals tempting, so home it came with me! That being

New Laline Shop at Bugis Junction

Finally the 2nd Laline shop has opened at Bugis Junction. Some background on Laline: Laline, a successful international boutique store, specializes in aromatic bath & body care products for body and soul. Laline's beauty line was created by two Israeli cousins who had a solid friendship and made their dream come true with the opening of their first store in 1999. The strong family connection and the feminine bond are uniquely reflected in the warm and welcoming customer experience offered in more than 60 Laline boutiques worldwide. - Info taken from Laline As an opening special, Laline was giving out gift cards with some value for customers to spend on their products. I was one of the lucky ones to get it. A short trip in the shop shows the standard clean and white theme of the shop, which is similar to their first shop at marina square. Similarly, there is the in-shop sink where customers can try out the soaps and scrubs and wash them off. Close

20min ORIGINS Age-Erase Mini Facial

Thanks to Vanity Trove, I got to try out a Mini Facial at the ORIGINS. Image from Vanity Trove At first I had this dubious feeling about this free mini facial, thinking that it will be a very short session where they let u test out the products they are currently promoting and send you on your way. Until I got to the store, I realised its a serious "facial" session! After giving me a seat, the friendly store assistant Laura Lu went on to asked me questions on my main skin care concerns. Finally, based on my current skin conditions, she whipped up this whopping list of items to be used for the facial. From left to right: 1. Plantscription Anti-aging Cleanser 2. Modern Friction (Exfoliator) 3. United State Balancing Tonic 4. Plantscription Anti-aging serum 5. Make A Difference Rejuvenating Treatment 6. Plantscription Anti-aging eye treatment Throughout the whole session, the sales assistant took patience to explain the special ingredients in each p

牛尔老师 ROBIN NIU BEAUTY TALKSHOW: ANTI - AGING 101

Anti-Aging Talkshow (Image from Sistic) Back by popular demand, Taiwanese Beauty Guru, Niu Er, will be back in Singapore to hold a Beauty Talkshow with Kose for the 3rd time! This time he is here to teach our ladies how to achieve youthful-looking skin. Niu Er is known by many names in Taiwan - the ‘Beauty Google’, the ‘Heavenly-Level Skincare Expert’, and the ‘DIY Beauty Master’- just to name a few. He started as a curious 12 year-old boy, experimenting with beauty facial masks in his home kitchen. He then graduated from medical school, before radically plunging into the world of beauty. It is after watching him on Taiwanese television programme "Nu Ren Wo Zui Da" - "Ladies First" which first got me into all the skincare hype and learning the need to take care of my skin. His flawless face is the testimony to all the effort he put in to take care of his skin. At the age of 40+, he looks as though he is 27 yrs old, full of energy, raring to go in the

Etude House at Wisma Atria gets a facelift

Etude House at Wisma Atria has gotten a facelift! The shop is now bigger, brighter and most importantly, I see new stuff being brought in! Bubble Hair Dye (Images from Etude House) Finally they have decided to bring in their famous bubble hair dye. It's simple to use, just mix the solutions together, pump the dye foam and massage into your hair, and you will get a very even dye within an hour. It's so hot in Philippines, the bubble hair dye was sold out so often! Finally we can have it in Singapore, and at a reasonable price of $14.90 too. (Just a note: It's not meant to cover grey/white hairs) Gradient Nail polish (Images from Etude House) Beside the bubble hair dye, I also spotted their gradation nail polish. The nail polish comes in a set of 3 complementing colors to create a gradient effect. These are sold at about $12.90 per set. For gals who love everything sweet and lacy, they also have very pretty nail stickers as well. Come on down to W

L'Oreal Infallibles Haul

My Collection of L'oreal Infallibles Ok, call me crazy, did I actually really needed all these eyeshadow colors?? First I got the 004 Forever Pink, the texture is so smooth and creamy, and the colour payoff is "What you see is what you get" without any primer! I wore it out and it really lasted on my oily eyelids for the whole day with minimal creasing. So when I saw them again at the Bugis BHG sale on 23rd June going on a 30% discount, how could I resist not getting more of these babies right? So I added 015 Flashback Silver and 014 Eternal Black to my small collection. Then one day, I walked past the SASA at Marina Square, and I saw them at 50% discount! OMG, this is too good a deal to be missed, so I went to add on four more Infallibles into my collection - 006 All Night Blue, 005 Purple Obsession, 009 Permanent Kaki and 012 Endless Chocolat. Here's the swatch: From Top to Bottom: 004 Forever Pink, 009 Permanent Kaki, 015 Flashback Silver, 005 Purple

Vanity Trove for August 2012

Rocket Science Vanity Trove Finally my vanity trove for the month of Aug arrived! Now, don't be so shocked that it came so late.. It's not Vanity Trove's fault, as I didn't subscribe to the August Trove initially, but after reading the hints that Sampar and Origins will be featured in this round, I decided to purchase it as a backorder (Vanity Trove allows you to purchase Trove that you have missed at a slightly more expensive price, provided stock is available). After reading all the good stuff of Sampar from everbluec and Origins Plantscription Family from sugarcrumb, I am so eager to try them out! I was praying so hard that Vanity Trove would send me the eye cream from Origins as I am starting to get fine lines under my eye, and from readings, Origins Anti-aging eye cream is supposed to diminish the appearance of crow's feet, reduce under eye cross hatching, smooth creepy lids and visibly lift and firm eye skin. Thank god Vanity Trove heard my prays and

Tony Moly Intense Care Syn-Ake Eye Mask

Tony Moly Intense Care Syn-Ake Eye Mask Yup, you read it. It's Snake! This eye mask contains snake venom peptide(Synake peptide)for intense wrinkle care. It's the most effective anti-aging and anti-wrinkle ingredient on earth as Tony Moly claims. Ingredients and Usage Directions The Syn-Ake eye mask is a special firming mask, meant for sagging skin around the eyes. The eye mask is of a black jelly-like material, shaped like a comma.  After trying it out, I find the mask very soothing and moisturizing. My fine lines under the eyes are still quite visible (probably my lines are too deep to see effects in just one use).Unfortunately I haven’t used it enough just yet to report on long-term results, so wait till I buy a bunch more and see what happens with regular use:)

Tony Moly Haul

Tony Moly Masks & Lip Products I have been hauling too often recently, but the reason behind this haul is to try out the products so that I know what is worth buying when my sister's friend goes to Korea (Korea sells Tony Moly, Etude House, SkinFood, THEFACESHOP stuff at almost half the price as they are sold in Singapore). Things in the picture are: Tony Moly Honey-Bee Skin Solution Dual Mask (S$8.90 vs 3,500 Won) Tony Moly Intense Care Snail Eye Mask (S$5.90 vs 2,500 Won) Tony Moly Intense Care Syn-Ake Eye Mask (S$5.90 vs 2,500 Won) Tony Moly Lovely Slim Lip Stick in BE01 (S$10.90 korean price unavailable) Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub (S$16.90 vs 11,800 Won) Seriously, I think Singapore's Korea makeup stores should consider lowering their product prices. From the price comparison above, you can see it's ridiculously doubled. With all the endorsers targeting young teenagers fan base, I do feel that products should be priced so that young buyers with less
