The Body Shop Camomile Makeup Remover

The Body Shop has just launched a new series of makeup removers, comprising of two eye makeup remover, oil, butter and muslin cloth. All the products are made with Community Fair Trade Camomile Oil.

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, Muslin Cloth, Waterproof Eye and Lip Make-up Remover
Out of the five new products, I bought three to try, namely the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, Muslin Cloth and Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover.

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter comes in a metal tin which screws on/off. In the tin, it looks like a hard block of white butter. Germ phobes will definitely complain that this is the most unhygienic way of storage, and to overcome this problem, just use a spatula to scoop the butter up for use.

My thoughts on the cleansing butter:
I really love this cleansing butter! It smells super nice with a flowery scent, does not contain any mineral oil (ahem... I'm looking at you Faceshop & Etude House), shape holds well in Singapore room temperature, but melts once you rub it on your face.

On contact with the face, the butter melts into a transparent oil, which is smooth and runny. The butter removes makeup very fast, massaging around 20s will remove most makeup, even waterproof ones.
Muslin Cleansing Cloth
After massaging the butter, to remove it, just wet the accompanying muslin cleansing cloth in the range (use warm water for a more thorough cleanse) and proceed to wipe off the butter from your face. Once done, my face is left clear and soft.

I totally love this cleansing butter. It cleanses as well as the Clinique's Cleansing Balm, if not even better at only a fraction of the price (TBS: S$26.90 vs Clinique: S$54), and smells way much nicer. It does not leave an oily sticky film after cleansing, unlike Lush's Ultrabland, so you can leave your face as it is without a second cleanse. Best of all, it cleanse well, leaves the face soft and did not cause me to break out the next day!

Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover
Lastly, I have the camomile waterproof eye & lip make-up remover to introduce. It is a bi-phase remover (i.e. half water, half oil), which you need to shake it up to activate the product before use. Out of the two versions of eye & lip make-up remover in the range, I chose to buy this as I normally wear waterproof makeup. The other version is meant for non waterproof makeup which is gentler and suitable even for sensitive skin. I have gotten it out of curiosity to see how it will compare to my current holy grail mandom bifesta eye makeup remover, but I have yet to try this out as I am still trying to finish up my mandom bifesta eye makeup remover. An initial sniff at the eye & lip remover tell me both eye makeup removers gives off the same smell, so let's hope the body shop version will perform at the very least like the mandom make-up remover.

Currently The Body Shop is having an introductory promotion, with a 2 for 20% off, 3 for 25% off (TBS member additional 5%), and for a limited time only, the muslin cloth will come free with the cleansing butter, so go on now to grab your product.

Sleek i-Divine Palettes

After learning of this brand called Sleek  some years ago, I have been trying to get my hands on their wonderful well pigmented, vivid colored and cheap eye palettes. Thanks to Luxola , I am able to enjoy products from Sleek without having to go through all the hassle of shipping it from UK. I first started out my collection with the Au Naturel palette, after which I went on to buy the Oh So Special from some blog sale. Just within a year, my Sleek eye palette collection grew and so I would like to share some swatches and thoughts of the palettes. Brand new look at Watsons IMM

Watsons at IMM has undergone a facelift to give you a cleaner looking and brighter shop! Although I welcome the new look, I have a feel that the shop has shrunk in size. Is it just a feel or a real shrinking? Nevertheless, along with the new look, we welcome new brands and products as well! First in line is a new essence booth: In season is the Fruity theme, with fruity nail polishes, creme blusher, eye shadows and lip balm. Had gotten the lip balm in peach flavour prior to this, as I thought the lip balm color looked way too cute, but the toilet freshener scent totally puts me off. >< (Remind me again why did I buy it??) Up next is the CLIO Art Collection : Image of their famous baked eyeshadows and blushes Been reading CLIO Art Collection for quite some time, but it's the first time I have came across the Art Collection apart from the normal collection. The eyeshadows swatched smoothly and beautifully. Pink trio, I have my eyes on you! Apart from the eyes
