Previously I bought a few boxes of Vanity Trove, but as I find the samples in Vanity Trove getting more and more uninteresting, I decided to look for other beauty boxes instead. After doing some research, I found the recently launched "The Little Black Beauty Box" (LBBB).
A joint venture by mediacorp styleXstyle and Robinsons, each month, the LBBB delivers to your doorstep a box containing a variety of beauty products in a dedicated theme, all for just S$19.90 (free shipping in Singapore).
Online reviews on the past boxes showed the boxes with reasonable sized samples from quite reputable brands, all for a lower price than Vanity Trove. So I decided to try out the August box which happens to be themed "Shiseido" a brand which I am a fan of.
LBBB has a nice customer service which calls you up one week before delivery to confirm delivery timing, and finally after a long long wait (I order in early July), it finally arrived! Ribbon wrapped, the LBBB looks like a black book. Inside the LBBB, there is a small brochure with the information of all the items in the box, personalized with your name written on top of the brochure. Greedily, I dug into my LBBB and got a very pleasant surprise! Look at the box full of Shiseido products, especially the ones from Shiseido upcoming new range Ibuki.
Although it is nice to have some makeup items, I did slightly wished that the makeup products included were some other makeup items. The translucent loose powder is the 3rd box of loose powder from Shiseido that I have (every GWP from seems to include one box of it), and while I do love a lip lacquer, it came in the most unwearable shade for me: RED (I have small thin lips and wearing red makes me looks like a scrooge somehow).
I will not go into each items as their description can be found on LBBB breakdown of the August box. Overall I still love this month's LBBB very much. Thank you mediacorp and Robinsons for putting together such a pretty box packed full of pampering beauty indulgence! I do hope you guys keep up the good effort and I look forward to future boxes!
