Brand's InnerShine Marine Collagen Essence Strip

Finally the collagen jelly strip from Brands has launched in Singapore! After reading so much from online bloggers such as Yuki and Alice, I have been waiting excitedly for it to reach the shores of Singapore. InnerShine® Marine Collagen Essence Strip comes in a convenient jelly strip form that enables you to get your collagen and beauty  boost at any time of the day (e.g., as an added step once in the morning with your daytime skincare regimen and once more in the evening with your nighttime skincare regimen).

According to Brand's, InnerShine® Marine Collagen Essence Strip supplies skin with collagen, Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B3), and Vitamin E to maintain its suppleness and elasticity. Collagen is responsible for the structural support and elasticity of the skin. Niacinamide supports skin health by providing skin tissue cells with the energy necessary for growth and repair. Vitamin E is an indispensable antioxidant for skin health and protects the skin from photoaging effects, the accelerated formation of wrinkles and age spots that occur with prolonged and/or excessive exposure to UV radiation.

List of ingredients
Watsons was having a trial promotion where a pack of 3 strips is selling at S$9.90.

After trying it out, here's my thoughts. It has a very nice grape taste, unlike usual collagen powder which as a weird fishy smell, and is very convenient to consume. Now here comes the bad stuff. First, the product requires you to take 1-3 strips per day, and at the price of $9.90 for 3 strips, to maintain this beauty regime would mean you need to spend $100-$300 per month. Ouch for the purse! Worst of all, I seem to have some allergic reaction to the jelly. For the 3 days I tried the collagen strip, after I eat the collagen strip, my throat starts itching badly. No idea why this happened as I do not have any known allergies to seafood.

For those who wants to try this out, I do suggest that you get the trial pack first before buying the full pack just in case you are allergic to it.

New Aqualabel Collagen GL Cream

Aqualabel has recently launched a new product - Collagen GL Cream, at our local Watsons stores. What it does: Using Aqualabel’s exclusive Aqua Synergy technology, Collagen GL Cream is said to penetrate deeper into the skin layers and deliver moisture as well as effective ingredients into the skin while softening. Touted as a 5 in 1 gel cream, the Collagen GL Cream is supposed to be able to replace your lotion-emulsion-cream-essence-mask in one step ! Which means in one bottle, you get all the following functions: • Lotion-Softens the skin and prepares it for subsequent skincare • Emulsion-Balance the skin’s natural oil • Essence-Concentrated treatment of double hyaluronic acid and collagen to target dehydration and aging problems • Cream-Hydrating ingredients to retain moisture for long hours • Mask-Works as a sleeping mask to lock in the goodness of Collagen GL and Hyaluronic Acid when skin feels extremely dry. The Little Black Beauty Box - Shiseido

Previously I bought a few boxes of Vanity Trove, but as I find the samples in Vanity Trove getting more and more uninteresting, I decided to look for other beauty boxes instead. After doing some research, I found the recently launched "The Little Black Beauty Box" (LBBB). A joint venture by mediacorp styleXstyle and Robinsons, each month, the LBBB delivers to your doorstep a box containing a variety of beauty products in a dedicated theme, all for just S$19.90 (free shipping in Singapore). Online reviews on the past boxes showed the boxes with reasonable sized samples from quite reputable brands, all for a lower price than Vanity Trove. So I decided to try out the August box which happens to be themed "Shiseido" a brand which I am a fan of. LBBB has a nice customer service which calls you up one week before delivery to confirm delivery timing, and finally after a long long wait (I order in early July), it finally arrived! Ribbon wrapped, the LBBB looks lik...
